Anti-lock braking system, which is widely used in the high speed running today, hasbecome an important device to improve the active safety of vehicle. However, the traditionalanti-lock braking system, which use the method based on the logic threshold of accelerationand deceleration, has the shortcomings such as long development cycles, high costs and poorversatility. With regard to such deficiencies, this paper based on previous research makes useof computer simulation technology to simulate the process of vehicle barking in longitudinalroad, explore the control algorithm of vehicle braking process and do some improvement anddevelopment.In this paper, the working principle of ABS is analyzed, the widely used current controlmethod based on wheel acceleration and deceleration and method of wheel slip ratio controlcombined with vehicle dynamics as a future development direction are introducedrespectively. In the environment of Matlab/Simulink ABS model is established, including fourparts of the vehicle model, tire model, brake model and controller model. Single wheel modelis described. Full vehicle model, half model and the single wheel model range of differentapplications are also described. The magic formula is widely used in tire model, can simulatedifferent road conditions, but there are many parameters, large amount of calculationproblems. Therefore, a simplified model based on the magic formula is introduced and used inthis paper. On the base of studying lots of brake model, a simple model is selected.Fuzzy control as an intelligent control method, which does not depend on mathematicalmodel, has the advantage of good robustness. Some basic mathematical knowledge aboutfuzzy control are introduced and using the Matlab fuzzy control toolbox to design a controllerbased on slip ratio. Established control rules of fuzzy control based on that people summarythe fuzzy object information has a certain degree of subjectivity. With the control problem isbecoming more and more complex, and the wanted control precision is improved, a kind ofoptimization method to optimize the fuzzy control rules is needed in order to achieve bettercontrol results. A genetic algorithm program is designed by fuzzy tools provide by the Matlab genetic algorithm and direct search toolbox.The simulation results show that the established ABS vehicle model in this paper canaccurately reflect the braking conditions. The routine braking control and fuzzy controlcomparative study shows, fuzzy control in the same environment condition can make full useroad adhesion, shorten the braking distance and reduced braking time. What’s more, using thefuzzy genetic optimization control ABS can further improve braking efficiency.
