Cement stabilized gravel as important types of semi-rigid material mainly used in roadbase, which has the advantages of high early strength, good stability and strong integrity.However, cement stabilized gravel gradually exposed early cracking with the widely used inChina, and lead to a semi-rigid base asphalt pavement produce reflective cracking and otherdiseases. It is not only threat to the safety of driving, but also restricted the development ofChinese road transport undertakings. Cracking was mainly due to the method often used inour laboratory test does not match with the roller and rolling technology used in theconstruction process. In particular, there is the phenomenon that compaction over100%.Therefore, it is necessary to study the cement stabilized gravel indoor tests, which match withthe current construction technology. And study the performance of the material based on newtest methods.This paper studied the working mechanism of Surface Vibration Testing Equipment(VTE)and Rolling Compactors, By studying the parameters which affect the vibration compactioneffect, the reasonable parameters of VTE is determined. Through contast analyzing ofVibration Testing Method(VTM) and Heavy Compaction Testing Method(HCM), got that themaximum dry density, the premium moisture and the unconfined compression strength ofVTM is1.017~1.031,0.83~0.88and1.83~2.5times bigger than HCM. Used stage fillingmethod and I method to study and put forward the blending proportion of aggregate,and thecorresponding framework dense gradation mixture. Meanwhile, the property of strength, theproperty of modules, the property of anti-frost and the property of anti-scouring isstudied,and the strength prediction equation with curing period and cement dosage isestablished. Based on practical project, suitable construction technology is raised and testresult is proved. Research results are conducive to cement stabilized macadam applicationbased on the vibrating test method.
