Being a type of dedicated construction machinery, there’s no national standard for thedesign and manufacture of compaction machines. Initially, the structural design of crawlercompactor, which mainly referred to crawler cranes’ standard, did not make anycorresponding improvements in accordance with its working characteristics such as dynamiccompaction, high-strength, high-power, vibration response. And it did turn out to arise someproblems in the actual application of some critical components, thus it is difficult forcustomers to accept the reliability and life expectancy of the compaction machine.The Compaction machine has good prospects for application in China, providing a raredevelopment opportunity for the development of the compaction machine.Hydraulic crawlercompactor characteristics determine the operating condition the compaction machine whenloaded suddenly, while the research on the dynamic characteristics of the system to suddenunloading is of great significance to the whole machine performance.The hydraulic crawlercompactor studied in this paper is a large complex nonlinear system. Moreover, In dynamicanalysis, the effect of the flexible transmutation to the dynamic response of the system can notbe ignored. So it is difficult to get ideal dynamic parameters of the system by means ofconventional simplified analytical method or traditional rigid body dynamics simulationsoftware.As the development of large-tonnage, the traditional static design of the compactionmachine has highlighted the deficiencies in the field of dynamics. Therefore, the study ofdynamic compaction machine dynamic process of decoupling, dynamic compaction machinedynamics simulation, design and the structure optimization have practical significance.This paper—based upon the combinations of virtual prototyping technology dynamicssimulation software ADAMS and three-dimensional solid design software CATIA and finiteelement analysis software ANSYA-constructs the virtual prototype mechanical system modelfor rigid-flexible coupling hydraulic crawler compaction machine, and adopts ADAMS/Viewmodule to perfect the system rope, spring-loaded anti-tilting device, luffing rope, boom, thehost model.In order to verify the reliability of the simulation model, it proved the rationalityof Flexible Boom simulation and the validity of simulation analysis through strain test on theYTQH400hydraulic crawler compactor boom structure at the construction site, and thecomparison between the deviation of stress test values and simulation analysis.The simulation results in this paper provide reference data for YTQH400hydrauliccrawler compactor structure optimization design and fatigue endurance evaluation. Meanwhile, dynamics simulation analysis in this paper put forward a method for thedynamic characteristics of other machineries of the same kind.
