Damage of semi-rigid base asphalt pavement is a common problem that at present ourcountry exists, but because of the differences in climate, geography and the conditions ofeconomic development, the cause of damage of asphalt pavement over the road is differently.Especially for the Xinjiang area, because of the special geography and t complex climate, theclimate in different regions is great differences, and there is obvious difference in the typesand causes of the asphalt pavement early disease. The study region, because of its uniquegeographical location. the type of disease of asphalt pavement is different from other regions,and need for a separate study of it. Based on this, this paper focuses on the investigation of thetypes and causes of disease of Asphalt Pavement in the study region, and relying on anexpressway in this study area of actual survey data, according to the type of disease and thecharacteristics of the proposed maintenance countermeasures.This paper investigated the geology and the climate data of the study region, comparesthe differences of the geography and climate between the study and the other regions. On thisbasis, through the investigation of various early diseases of asphalt pavement in the study area,and determined the typical types of early diseases of asphalt pavement in the area are pockclass loose and crack.Based on the investigation of the expressway in the region, to evaluate the pavementperformance of asphalt pavement. On the basis of evaluation, In order to better analyze thesection of the specific types and causes of disease In a typical diseases parts of the drill coresampling and aggregates for asphalt pavement sampled and analyzed. The results show thatthe segment core sample stability and resistance to freezing and thawing of water is poor, andthe pock class loose is due to various types of aggregates, the lithology and composition ofaggregate is complex. Different lithologies aggregates and asphalt adhesion to differentdegrees, and the aggregates are mostly acidic, resulting the poor adhesion of the aggregateand asphalt in the asphalt mixture. Aggregates containing much kaolinite, and kaolinite waterswelling, thus affecting the aggregates and asphalt adhesion. Cracks of a semi-rigid base because of reflective cracking and temperature shrinkage cracks.Based on the use of asphalt pavement performance evaluation and investigation andanalysis of disease data, this paper focused on solving the conservation measures hemp pastaloose and Cracks in the local disease treatment, based on the measures adopted to restoreoverlay overlay of asphalt pavement of the road service capabilities.
