The construction budget is very essential for improving the enterprise’s economicefficiency, reducing the labor intensity. With a variety of computer-based budget softwarewidely used, the project budget is constantly moving to computerization. But these budgetsoftware did not effectively reduce the budget staves’ working time, they still spent a lot oftime to complete their work.To solve this problem, this paper conducted a study that basedon BIM. BIM based on the three-dimensional digital technology, integrated all relevantinformations of the construction. Batsed on the BIM technology, the architecturalengineering budget analysis can be more quickly and accurately, and can automaticallyupdate the information. This paper analyzed the research status about the BIM-based costestimates, introduced the basic theory, proposed the BIM modeling economic datastandards, proposed the BIM modeling problems that based on the engineering meteringand valuation, and summed the modeling requirements of BIM; this paper campared threeBIM-based budget method, selected a suitable research methods; this paper proposed thecost budget coding system based on BIM, used the value engineering principles to analyzethe BIM-based budget data.Further summed the cost management framework that basedon BIM.The text focused on the combination of practice and theory. It took the X X project asthe research subject, stressed the importance of the BIM technology in the budgetmanagement, and tried to provide some references to control the construction enterprise’scost, tried to provide some theoretical, methodological, ideological assistance to increasethe enterprise’s efficiency, decrease the cost.
