In the research of rotary dryer process, the rotary dryer is a complex control object with multi-variable, nonlinear, time-varying, large delay, therefore, It has been the important and difficult to establish the model of a rotary dryer and design the controller of rotary dryer process.The main research and innovative achievements of the paper are as follows:1. The condition data of rotary dryer is obtained through experi-ments in this article. Based on the thought of hybrid model and mathematical equations of heat and mass transfer, hybrid dynamic model of rotary dryer is established. the traditional method is used to obtain drying rate modeling.2. The drying rate is an important parameter of rotary drying process modeling, its accuracy is directly related to the utility of the rotary drying process model. This paper put forward by least squares support vector machine model of the drying rate, the hyper parameters is an important work of least squares support vector machine, The immunity of Drosophila algorithm is designed to optimize the hyper parameters of least squares support vector machines in paper. Through the optimal hyper parameters, the accuracy of the model has been improved.3. For sparse least squares support vector machine scattering problem, the fixed size of least squares support vector regression method is presented in paper, Number of support vectors from all of input data turned into small input data in order to improve sparseness in LSSVM.4. In the nonlinear support vector machine regression modeling algorithm, kernel function of support vector machine of choice is another problem to restrict the modeling accuracy, A multi-kernel least squares support vector machine is designed in this paper and combined with the fixed scaling algorithm designed the least fixed size of the support vector machine regression modeling method to improve the accuracy of modeling as possible. The experiment proved that it had higher precision than the ordinary LSSVR.5. The temperature and humidity controller using sliding mode variable control algorithm is designed in this paper, the fuzzy controller for a rotary dryer is designed according to the actual production and research situation of the synovial variable is combined with fuzzy control. This paper proves that the controller can be used in rotary dryer.After the research work and innovation of the above points, rotary drying process model and controller has been designed. The paper shows the effectiveness of the proposed method through experiments.
