Research On The Automatic Meter Reading System Based On Wireless Ad Hoc Network

Household heat metering of residential central heating system has been promoted with the reform of heating system. It can realize fairness of heat consumption and encourage users to save energy and reduce waste heat through household metering and on-demand consump-tion.Automatic meter reading system is a very important part of heat metering, as it can accomplish measurement data collection, storage and analysis automatically. This paper studies the characteristics and application environment of automatic meter reading system,then analyzes the characteristics of wireless ad-hoc network and key technology,finally proposes an automatic meter reading system based on wireless ad hoc network.This paper has a detailed analysis to the measurement automatic meter reading system and presents an overall design of the system. It analyzes the characteristics and key technology of wireless routing protocol and researches the AODV routing protocol,then presents a routing protocol for wireless heat metering reading system,combined with the classical routing algorithm. This paper studies the design of hardware and software, each module is described in detail the design flow and key points. Hardware design include the circuit designing and theory analysis to wireless module, thermostat,valve and data acquisition equipment. The chip of CC1100E is chosen as the RF communication chip according to wireless spectrum requirements. An data format for data transmission and routing establishmen protocol is proposed. Software design includes wireless communication software design, clock management, data storage, motor controling, temperature acquisition, man-machine interaction and measurement data acquisition, and wireless command parsing and response. After running the test, the system realizes the wireless self-organized network, reads user heat metering datas, completes the user heating cost calculation, finally realizes the purpose of on-demand consumption and heat metering reformation.
