Wireless automatic metering plays more and more important roles in the local and global metering market with the rapidly development of Chinese economics, the police of’one meter in one house’by the government and the higher demands for living quality of residents. Wireless automatic metering is a new technology which integrated the remote collection, transition and production for data on meters and can be applied for management and supply for electronic grid, water and gas networks. Compared to traditional meter record methods, wireless automatic metering technology is higher quality on data transition, better reliability, higher speed, real-time as well as easier system management, which is the reason why it is researched and designed in this thesis.This thesis is summarized on the wireless automatic metering system which the writer took a part in. The radio frequency module and hardware circuit module are detail introduced in the wireless automatic metering system. As one of the most important part, the architecture of the embedded software system is abstractly presented in the chapter5for the integrity of the thesis. The feature of data transition between meters, collectors, concentrators and handed equipment is completed by the wireless long distance radio frequency module. The measurement, data transition among the sensors on the meters and communication between the collectors and handed equipment are assigned in the hardware circuit module on the meter parts. The collection for information of flow rate and reported the data to the concentrator is accomplished in the hardware circuit module in the collector. The data store and transition among the low layer collectors and the upper layer data centre is the feature of concentrator.The wireless automatic metering system is commercially applied in the market. By the feedback from the customers, the requirements on communication distance, coverage, stability on communication and anti-interference ability in the concept design stage are reached and satisfied the market demand. The three types of wireless transition radio frequency module and hardware circuit module for the whole system, which are designed by the author, is also satisfied the design task and requirements which become the firm hardware platform for the smoothly working of the systems.
