As the necessary infrastructure for the normal operation of the train system, the properties of rail will directly affect the security and stability of the train. Rail grinding train plays an important role in the repair and maintenance of rails. As the development of high speed and heavy load of the railway system, the work of grinding is becoming heavier and the requiring grinding efficiency higher. Under the working condition of high speed, with the frequency of corrugation increasing, the fluctuation of grinding force is becoming more severe, aggravating the grinding quality. With the hydraulic loading system of the rail grinding equipment as the research object in this paper, research on the mechanism of the grinding force fluctuation in the working process and the method to suppress the grinding force fluctuation was done. The main contents are as follows:1The current research situation, development tendency and the existing problems of the rail grinding technology and hydraulic loading system was introduced, thus the significance of research on the suppression of grinding force fluctuation was clear.2The working principle of the hydraulic loading system of the rail grinding equipment was analyzed, and, with the working conditions of rail grinding mechanism, the influence of the output force of hydraulic cylinder and the inertia force fluctuation of the grinding mechanism on the grinding force was analyzed.3The theoretical analysis and simulation of the accumulator and the filter characteristics of three-way proportional pressure reducing valve were done, which showed that the fluctuation of the output force of the loading cylinder was mainly affected by the cylinder forcing flow rate. Based on this finding, the optimization plan of reducing the fluctuation of the output force was proposed. Through simulation in AMEsim, the feasibility of mutual filtering between the two chambers of the cylinder was tested.4With regard of the influence of the fluctuation of the inertia force on the grinding force, the method of replacing the grinding motor with a hydraulic synchronous motor to reduce inertia force was proposed and its feasibility was verified. The method of using feedforward control to compensate the interference of inertia force was proposed and its feasibility was analyzed. With the establishment of simulation model of the hydraulic loading system based on feedforward control, results show that feedforward compensation is an effective measure to compensate inertia force.5The rail grinding mechanism experimental platform was set up, on which the filtering effect of the hydraulic cylinder and frequency response characteristics of the valve-cylinder system were tested. Results show that the research on the fluctuation of the grinding force under the working condition of quick grinding and the proposed method of suppressing the grinding force fluctuation are reasonable.
