Abstract: This paper is based on863Program Key projects which is named ’The key technologies, systems development and demonstration of applications of the hybrid construction machinery’. So, developing a reliable, high security loading system is the basis of this research. The main results and conclusions are as following.1. The typical mining condition of excavator was analyzed. Then, according to the characteristics of strong periodic and volatility, the design goal was proposed. Also, the type of load simulation technology at domestic and abroad was generalized. Then, the electrical hydraulic control system was summarized to provide a basis for this research.2. Through the contrast of three simulation modes, combined with the design requirements, the hydraulic loading system has been chosen. Then, the principle of the hydraulic system was designed, the critical parameters were calculated, and the selection of hydraulic components was completed. Using AMESim as a platform to build the simulation model of the load simulation system, the typical working condition, maximum loading power condition system and system response characteristics were simulated. The results show that this system can meet the design requirements and achieve good simulation of hydraulic excavator’s load.3. The scheme of design and control system of the load simulation platform was proposed. This paper has completed the design of the system interface based on the virtual instrument exploiture platform Lab VIEW. This control system contained the modules of acquisition, output, storage and read of data.4. The experimental platform of loading system was built. Then the simulation experiments of typical mining conditions and sinusoidal load were carried out. The results show that the loading system meets the design requirements.
