Urban road construction projects not only require a huge sum of investment and a longpayback period, but also have an important influence on the socio-economic development ofthe surrounding environment. Therefore, it is meaningful to have the feasibility study ofurban road construction projects, which would ensure the success of completion, operation,investment recovery and promotion of economic development.In this paper, it focus on the feasibility study, including transportation, technology,economic, environment and construction study, of the east entrance of an important trunkroad in Guangzhou Development Zone. Based on related project background, the paperanalyzes the basic necessity of the project. According to project conditions and standards, theproject construction scale is estimated by reasonably forecasting the traffic. According to theproject construction, the paper gives suggestions of design proposal on project targeted roads,bridges, tunnels, traffic, lighting, drainage and other ancillary items, as well as comments onimplementation and procession of some key point of the project. Additionally the paper offersconstructive suggestions related to the project environmental protection and energy savingproposal. According to project scale, the total project investment is estimated. According tothe consideration of overall national benefit, national economic profit is well analyzed byparameter evaluation methods. Sensitivity analysis shows that the project obsesses anti-riskability with strong economic feasibility.Overall, there are many points to support this project, including construction necessity,technical feasibility, economical reasonability, risk-resisting ability and the feasibility ofimplementation. A detailed feasible analysis of this project has been conducted through theinvestigation of social status, dynamic economic analysis and qualitative and quantitativeanalysis methods. This analysis would be importance theory reference not only for the Eastentrance construction project but also for other urban road construction project.
