Construction project is an important part of our national construction, and construction industry is a pillar industry of national economy. With30years of reform and opening-up and rapid development of construction industry, the number of the high-rise building increases rapidly. The accident rate in construction industry is far higher than the average level of other industries. Among all kinds of accidents, the fall-accident accounts for the largest proportion. Especially during the construction stage of high-rise building, the happening of falling accidents related people and objects will cause casualties and huge negative social impact.This paper adopt FTA-AHP method to analysis comprehensive the reason of super high-rise buildings falling based on my years of experience in the high-rise building construction in the practical application. A super high-rise building construction in Shanghai Lujiazui is analyzed as case study. The individual and common causes of the falling accidents are analyzed one by one. On the basis of constructing fault tree about people and objects respectively, FTA method is presented to identify the reasons of high fall accident in high-rise building construction and the safety factors with greater influence are chosen. Then AHP is put forward to evaluate the factors to determine the weight of each factor, so the key factors can be confirmed.Based on the above research, customized protection measures are put forward. The customized protection measures are adopted in a real high-rise building project and obvious results have been achieved.
