Nowadays, energy saving and environmental protection already became the two major themes of the development of human society. Super capacitor energy storage system has been widely applied to the electric trams and electric cars. Buck-Boost topology structure is widely used on the main converter of the super capacitor energy storage system in the actual engineering to transmiss energy two-way. But to this topology structure of the energy storage system, the requirements of improving the utilization of super capacitor and reducing power volume of the converter contradict to each other.This paper presents a new topology of converter with its operation mode in the view of the shortcomings of the super capacitor energy storage system using the conventional Buck-Boost converter. This paper gets the method for determining the parameters of new converter through theoretical way, and comparing with the conventional converter, the power volume of the converters can be reduced under the same conditions that the new converter works in the same super capacitor voltage range, namely under the same super capacitor capacity utilization ratio.According to practical fuel cell vehicle parameters, this paper determines main technical parameters of the energy storage system using the new converter. On the basis of the main circuit, this paper designs the control system using TMS320F2812as the core.It builds the model of the energy storage system with new converter, and uses the MATLAB software to analyze its performance.The results show that, using the new converter on the energy storage system can reduce the power volume of the system and the current.It enhances the working reliability of the system.It effectively mitigates the contradiction of the energy storage system with conventional converter between requirements of improving the super capacitor capacity utilization rate and reducing converter power volume,and the DC bus current ripple is also can be reduced after using a new type of converter.It uses the DSP peripherals to develope the control system for the new converter. And designing software structure, compiling software program. It does the switched experiment of control system.The control system can carry out real-time control of the new converter according to the control method presented in this paper. |
