The Design And Exploration Of The Space And Supporting Facilities In Urban Fast Railway Transportation System

With the development of world economy and technology and the promotion of process of urbanization, urban fast railway transportation system has been popularized in most of cities to some extent. As a part of urban public transportation, it has run into people’s lives gradually, providing favorable conditions for people’s travelling in an efficient and convenient manner, so as to serve the public better. Being the major part of using the urban fast railway transportation, it is needed to follow the concept of people-oriented principle during the process of design, which is based on the diversity of people’s requirement as well as providing the people with high quality, considerate and a full range of services. As a major component of urban fast railway transportation, the space and supporting facilities are not considered as a key point for analyzing and investigating in the part of urban design but only attributed to the purely transition space, which make it fail to achieve the corresponding level and height. Therefore, it cannot provide humanistic care which is deserved when taking public activities in space and supporting facilities.This article is focused on the issuers that are related to the space and supporting facilities of urban fast railway transportation system and it is based on the psychology and characteristic of human activities in space and supporting facilities, by which considers the aspects of convenient arriving, safety traveling, comfortable space, humanistic care as well as many other facts such as space of regionalism during the analysis and investigation. The design approaches which meet the need of the development of space and supporting facilities are also summarized.The paper is divided into6chapters:Chapter1is the introduction part which illustrates the background, the core concept definition, the analysis of current research situation at home and abroad, the purpose, significance, methods and framework of the research; Chapter2is based on the orientation of composite function, traditional layout and derivative function of the space and supporting facilities in order to analyze the multi-functions and summarize the specific function configuration through the comprehensive analysis; The definition elements, spacing characteristics and aesthetic expression of the space and supporting facilities were introduced and analyzed in Chapter3as well as the general introduction of elements; In chapter4, the specific design approaches of the space and supporting facilities were explored on the base of previous chapters, and finally put forward through analyzing the fitness of inside and outside transportation, assurance of safety travelling, comfort level of spacing and reflecting human caring in details as well as the regional cultural; Some specific design cases of the space and supporting facilities were analyzed in chapter5; Chapter6is the conclusion part that summarizes the full text and evaluates the research method, and provides new sustainable strategy and research methods for the future planning and design of the space and supporting facilities.
