China is an earthquake-prone country, most of the casualties were caused by the collapse of buildings in earthquake. More and more high-rise buildings rising up with the tension of urban-land use, the seismic design of high-rise building is appeared significant.Vibration measurement of existing building is important for seismic design and seismic performance evaluation. This essay is based on the Building of Earthquake Disaster Prevention and Reduction Information in Hubei Province, ambient vibration tests were performed and seismic performance of this frame-shear wall structure was analyzed, then some conclusions were obtained. In this paper, some ambient vibration tests were performed with pulsating test method on the structure, then obtain the dynamic characteristics with data spectrum analysis. Based on dynamic characteristics test, structure modal analysis was performed with the ETABS software, both results are consistent with each other, and there is some difference in the numerical values. Based on the modal analysis, response spectrum analysis and dynamic analysis were used to study the seismic response performance. The main research contents are:1. Dynamic characteristics test. Structure response acceleration in three directions under ambient vibration was measured by the Basalt8X Strong motion Multi-Channel Recorder fixed on the building. The first four translational vibration frequencies and the first two torsional vibration frequencies of the structure were obtained by spectral analysis of the acceleration data.2. Finite element modal analysis. For existing buildings, combined with the drawings provided by the Design Institute, establish three-dimensional finite element model with software ETABS, obtain the natural vibration frequencies, mode shapes and other characteristics with modal analysis. It appears that structure vibration periods obtained from vibration test are generally less than the finite element analysis results. The reason is: parameters selection of the finite element model(modulus of elasticity), non-structural elements with structural stiffness(infilled wall), etc.3. Seismic response analysis. Response spectrum analysis was performed with the type of site condition and ground motion parameters in Wuhan City, obtained the control factors, such as floor stiffness, floor displacement, story drift angle, it appears that the building relatively uniform in all directions, deformation meet seismic code requirements. Five seismic waves selected from the PGMD database and two suitable artificial seismic waves were chosen for time-history dynamic analysis. All the maximum basement shears are bigger than65%of the results of the spectrum analysis, average basement shear of all the time history analysis is greater than80%of the spectrum analysis, which meet the requirements of the Code for Seismic Design. Both Response spectrum analysis and Time history analysis reveal that the structural members are reasonably arranged, stiffness distribution more uniform, the structure meets a well seismic performance.
