The platform of urban railway station is always full of passengers. When a large number of passengers are gathering in the platform, which will lead to congestion, even trig a crowded stampede. Therefore, combing the situation of our rail transit’s organization and management of passenger flow, it is possible to using the PIS information to organize passenger flow in platform, from the perspective of information impact on behavior. The paper’s main research content is as follows:Firstly, the design and publishing criterion of PIS information in MODURBAN report was analyzed in paper. The characteristics of large passenger flow in urban rail transit station and some general response was desicribed. Passenger’s distribution features in the platform and in carriages were analyzed through an investigation. And a solving measure was put forward as making an optimization of traffic organization and management measures from the aspects of space uniform and time balance through PIS information.Secondly, this research was directed toward obtaining a deep understanding of the influence of PIS information on passenger choice behavior of waiting in urban rail platform. Adopting the orthogonal design method,16scenes of passenger waiting choice were created. According to SP survey theory, a passenger simulation experiment was conducted to collect data on passengers’choice.Thirdly, a binary discrete choice model was established. Based on the model, the influence of different kind of information was analyzed both according to utility function and elasticity method. And the model was verified by an instance. Main research was as followed. Firstly, it is effective to getting passenger’s behavior data with the method of simulation experiment based on SP survey; secondly, passenger density information both on the platform and in the carriage and journey time have significant effect on passenger’s waiting position choice behavior; lastly, elasticity analysis found that passenger density information have different influence on passengers with converse behavioral preferences.Finally, a simulation model of passenger flow in Beijing Subway was built by Legion. The optimization of PIS information on the effects of passenger flow’s organization was vertified based on the analysis of simulation result by spatial balance theory and time balance theory.
