The compressor is typical rotating machinery. It’s characterized by weight, long span, speed, and complex conditions. The rotor system is the key component of centrifugal compressors. The vibration seriously jeopardize the long cycle of the unit safe and stable operation. Given the complexity of the structure, a long time, lateral-torsional vibration characteristics of the compressor industry for the large and complex rotor system is not very clear, resulting in some serious abnormal vibration. This paper chooses Shenyang Blower Works Group Corapration Yangzi PTA compressor turbine expander system as the research object. The dynamic model and the finite element model are established by finite element analysis software ANSYS and MATLAB. Vibration response characteristic analysis of the gear coupling expander the rotor system is conducted a detailed study, to improve product reliability and security. The main contents are as follows:(1) A full freedom of general-purpose three-dimensional helical gear meshing dynamics model is deduced, and a gear coupling rotor system of lateral-torsional vibration equation is established. The finite element model of the expander rotor system is established by ANSYS and MATLAB, and the natural frequency of the system is calculated. The accuracy and reliability of the model are verified by contrast.(2) The unbalance vibration response characteristic of the expander system is analysised by ANSYS and MATLAB model. The reliability of the model has been once again proven through the analysis results contrast. In accordance with API617standard, the system critical speed is checked, and the margin of the isolation is calculated.(3) The vibration response characteristics of the expander system are analysised under the ransient torsion loading, static transmission error and coupling misalignment conditions.(4) The vibration response characteristics of the expander system are analysised under the ransient torsion loading adds unbalance, static transmission error adds unbalance and coupling misalignment adds unbalance conditions. The influence of various factors on the system vibration is obtained by contrast.
