Comprehensive Researches On Reuse Of Old Industry Building

Handan is a city which has over two thousand years history, also a city mainlybased on steel industrial and textile industrial, because the change of economicsystem and economic market, adjustment for city industrial policy and using landpolicy, make Handan cotton textile industry has been under the serious impact, a lotof cotton textile enterprises are facing bankruptcy situation, and a lot of old cottontextile industrial buildings will be abandoned. On the one hand the demolition forthose abandoned buildings will waste lot of resources and will made pollutionenvironment to this city, on the other hand long time idle and waste will seriouslyaffected city’s development. This essay is trying to see this from the architecturalpoint, how can we find a way to reasonable transform and reuse those old buildingsof cotton textile industry?In this essay, I combined three aspects with the location of Handan, historicaland cultural, social and economic to try to find out suitable and operationally way totransform of those old buildings Whiling Handan’s city development. Of course thatdiscuss is based on how to achieve the aspects of city resources, environment,industry, culture and sustainable development, also solve the problems in theurbanization process of Handan City and create favorable opportunity for the cityfuture development.In this essay, I using the basic theory and practice experience of renovation ofold buildings, by on field research, summing up the architecture, ecology,economics, science management and other knowledge’s, I will show the presentsituation and the reason why. At last I will try to give a proposal about it.This essay is divided into three parts to carry on the writing:The first part (1&2chapter); include theoretical research, topic, research objectand related concepts, research contents and methods. I Analysis more far-reachinginfluence theory of the renovation of old industrial buildings at China and overseas,and more analysis at the practice cases of old industrial buildings renovation atChina and overseas.The second part (the3chapter), review the history of old cotton textile industry in Handan City and architectural history of those old industrial buildings, summarythe current status of the old cotton textile building, and did deep analysis about thissummary. At last I describe the history value, social value, economic value of thetransformation of the old cotton textile industry.The third part (the4chapter, the5chapter), I give proposal and strategies fortransform those old industrial buildings based on the city development design andarchitecture design. I’m also summarized that typical plant improvement cases. Itake the first printing and dyeing factory in Handan city of experimental, as theproof of my proposal.
