With the development of modern industry, more and more important to the safeoperation of equipment, monitoring the safety of the equipment is becoming more andmore brought to the attention of the people. Due to the large transport capacity,transport belt conveyer small resistance, low power consumption, stable operation,small damage in materials in transit, etc, it has become the key of the coal miningequipment. Belt conveyor directly influences the failure of coal production, causehuge economic losses, will cause serious safety accidents. So the online status of beltconveyor and its failure analysis and improve the reliability of the safe operation ofthe belt conveyor, to reduce loss of equipment, spare parts and increase the service lifeof equipment, increase the transport capacity and safe operation and so on all has thevery vital significance. Traditional monitoring system of belt conveyor is low inefficiency and integration is not high also, to detect fault haven’t response, theseshortcomings can’t meet the requirement for modern monitoring system needs to bemultifunctional. With virtual instrument technology is more and more peopleunderstand and use as well as the rapid development of computer technology today,using the virtual instrument technology for online monitoring of a belt conveyor andcombined with fault tree analysis method for belt conveyor fault early warning is themain content of this topic, in this theme under the use of sensors, data acquisition cardand virtual instrument development platform-the LabVIEW software has developeda set of online monitoring and fault early warning system of belt conveyor, highintegration, high reliability and high automation level, can effectively guarantee thesafety running of belt conveyor. This topic main work is as follows:(1) System to master the common faults of belt conveyor, using fault treeanalysis technology for qualitative analysis of the common faults and to establish thecommon faults of the cause of the problem table, preparing for monitoring system ofthe fault early warning.(2) Using the development platform of virtual instrument software LabVIEW-based online monitoring and fault early warning system of belt conveyor. Make thesystem with parameter setting, data acquisition and processing, real-time display and data storage and printing, and many other functions.(3) Emphasis on the hardware and software design of the system. Systemhardware is mainly composed of sensors, data acquisition card and signalconditioning device and the anti-interference components, etc; System softwaredesign mainly includes the partition, the function of the system needs to be done withintegrated, modular, structured and the main module called sub modules of theguiding ideology to write.(4)This system can realize the belt, belt speed, belt conveyor and conveyor beltconveyor belt tension by the real-time online monitoring of the offsets, etc, to detectmalfunction can give reference for maintenance, capable of monitoring theimplementation of storage, query and print.
