With the speedup of urbanization and increasing national power of China, as oneof the symbols of national economic construction and comprehensive national power, more and more high-rise buildings are being constructed. The safety productionproblems in high-rise building construction has become a serious social problem and apuzzle in construction field and caused widespread attention of the whole society. Thecore of safety production is safety management, and how to evaluate the safety ofconstruction sites is the premise to solve the problem of safety management. This paper first analyzes and expounds on the relevant problems in the safetyevaluation of high-rise buildings in China and foreign countries and puts forwardresearch significance, contents, methods and rationale. Secondly, in view of the safetyevaluation of buildings, it carries out theoretical studies and argumentations fromthree aspects: security system, safety structure and risk identity and makes an analysisinto the major affecting factors and research methods, to make a comparison betweendifferent methods of safety evaluation. Thirdly, according to the principle of settingup an indicator system in analytic hierarchy process (AHP), combining the actualengineering project of Zhongshan City (Yindi), the indicator system for safetyevaluation is determined and the indicators are corrected accordingly, to ensure thefeasibility and pertinence of indicators. Finally, a comprehensive safety evaluationmodel, based on fuzzy AHP is established and its application is studied, too.The research findings of this paper are:(1) It builds a comprehensive evaluation model based on fuzzy AHP andelaborates on the weights of related indicators in detail.(2) Through an empirical analysis into Zhongshan City (Yindi) as well as thescoring of experts, the results are analyzed. The feasibility and rationality of modelare tested. Meanwhile, from the security features of project, corresponding measuresare proposed from five aspects: people, materials, machines, environment andmanagement.
