As the development of ship power system,the increment of system scope, the increasingcomplexity of system network, working volume of the electric calculation analysis has alsoenlarged, which limits the practical simulation of ship power system by physical imitationmethods. However, the rapid development of the digital simulation technique has greatlyimproved the possibility of modeling and simulation to complex system. Accordingly, thesimulation platform of ship power system, which is constructed to objects through digitalsimulation technique, makes considerable contribution to structural design and performanceevaluation of ship power system.Currently, every country in the world mostly applies AC power system on ship,nevertheless, as the continuous enlargement of ship power system, the emerge of intergratedpower system and appearance of high-energy weapon, many unavoidable problems on ACship power system have come onto stage. In recent years, oversea countries havesuccessively carried out the research and development on AC-DC power system. Followingthe pace of improvement on power electric device performance, appearance of new powerelectric device pattern and the maturity of control model, AC-DC power system showssuperior performance on the quality of electric energy, and efficiency of ship power system,and so on.This article focuses on the establishment and analysis on model of intergrated powersystem, as well as the research on calculation methods of short-circulr currents of intergratedpower system. Further, by the programming software, VC++6.0as a platform, the articleillustrates and develops an intelligent short-circulr currents calculation simulation softwarewhich is applicable on intergrated power system, through the established simulation platformof ship power system. The software can judge a power system as a type of AC system or aAC-DC power system, and applies various calculation methods to realize the visualizingcalculation simulation of short-circular fault on ship power system. When the system is ACpower system, it will apply GJB173method or an improved method to calculate short-circulrcurrents. When the system is AC-DC power systerm, the software will consider generator,storage,smoothing capacitor, and DC motor which can provide short-circulr currents, alsoconsidering the maximum and steady state of short-circulr currents provided by each currentsource. When short-circulr fault occurs, the platform proceeds to calculate the peak andsteady state value of short-circulr currents on the fault point. Then drawing the curve of the instantaneous short circuit current of each current source and total short circuit current on thefault point.This program applies the design methodology of facing targets, built on theestablishment of model of interated power system, analysis of system structure and topology,applying SQL database as data exchange background, thus, realizing the simulation of short-circulr fault at any point on any established ship power system.Finally the article will verify the accuracy, reliability and practical utility of thissimulation system through the sample application on operation, analysis and calculation.
