A Study On Construction Project Value Management Based On Value Chain

Theoretic research about value management and the practical application at home and abroad, have proven that the introduction of value management in project life circle is the key factor to cope with the predicament of low efficiency and low efficiency that perplex the project management for a long time. In the past, the academic circles mainly focus on the characteristics of value management methods in project management or the conventional points about the applications of value management (tasks, program, process and steps).This essay will take a broader view to deals with problems concerned with basic principles and methods of value management in the construction project which is based on the value chain model and value system.Firstly this article attempts to construct the value management system and the value chain management model by defining the conceptions of the value chain and the value chain in the construction project and synthesize of generation, formation and development of value project life-cycle.Then, this paper mainly analyses and probes the methods and instruments of implementing value management from three aspects——owner, project parties and customer/users——based on the analysis of value system structure in the construction project. This dissertation deliberates how to use value management in each stage of management like strategy management, execution and operation from the perspective of the owner. Meanwhile, this paper conducts research on multiple value system and value realization method for the project parties. What’s more, aiming at customers/users, this essay described the principles that customers/users’value should be operation-oriented. This article builds a value management mechanism according to customers/users at all levels based on customer value rate ranking method and the customer value analysis table.Ultimately, this paper casts Hengyang newly-built civil airport as a case, then makes a reliable analysis about value system structure and its content of the airport project. Based on the results the paper verifies the implementation effects of value management in the Hengyang airport project.
