Optimization For Distribution Center Location In The Cold Chain

Cold chain logistics is closely related to the quality of people’s life and the environment. Compared to general logistics, requirements of cold chain logistics are higher, operation is more complex and cost is more. How to reduce the cost of cold chain logistics and improve efficiency and service level of logistics is a subject which both government and enterprise are facing currently. Therefore, it has important theoretical and practical significance to decide location of cold chain distribution center reasonably.The thesis classified and summered the domestic and overseas literature material related with location of cold chain distribution center. It analyzed current situation of domestic and overseas cold chain logistics and problems of domestic cold chain logistics. Combined with the basic structure of distribution network and the characteristics of cold chain logistics, the thesis constructed three-level and four-layer cold chain distribution network which contained lever1distribution center and secondary distribution center. It focused on location optimization of cold chain distribution center. Aim for minimizing systemic cost and maximizing customer service level, this thesis established multi-objective location optimization model of cold chain distribution center, then used a method which united the main target method, the enumeration method and genetic algorithm to solve the model.Finally, in view of location factors is changing over time in real life, such as distribution of customers, demand information, carry rate, this thesis discussed the dynamic location problem of cold chain distribution center. It divided period of location planning into several stages under the theory of dynamic programming. Location decision in every stage was according to the actual situation of the upper stage, which can make more accurate location decision. Especially when the change of market environment lead to a problem that distribution center can’t achieve the goal of customer service level, enterprises need to make location decision again. The thesis validated it through an example.
