The soft soil which has some characteristics of high water content, void ratio, low strength, low bearing capacity of foundation, easy deformation,is widely distributed in sea-filling project. Road construction on soft soil foundation is difficult to meet the requirements of engineering, and it is a threaten to road’s construction and use with the potential road foundation settlement.Therefore it has important engineering significance to monitor the settlement of road foundation, even in guiding road foundation treatment with monitoring results. The article based on the existing related research, in accordance with the monitoring data of foundation treatment of road core area of Mazu City, to predict, calculate and contrast-analysis with the road foundation settlement by the methods of experienced analysis and numerical simulation. It mainly contains a few aspects of the work as following:(1)Based on summarizing and analyzing research status in monitoring, prediction, theoretical calculation and numerical simulation of foundation settlement, with the settlement rules of road foundation, to discuss the settlement monitoring method, prediction principle of soft soil foundation settlement calculation method and various calculation methods of foundation settlement.(2)Combined with the general situation, field geology and hydrology, natural conditions and road soft soil foundation processing data in project, discussedin the monitoring of the site layout and operation scheme for settlement of road soft foundation in detail; processed with the soft foundation settlement data and expressed by nonlinear curve.(3)Empirical analysis method for settlement prediction from measured data, the engineering applicability were different.According to the measured settlement data, respectively used the hyperbolic method, three point method, G (1,1) of grey prediction model and Asaoka method in the preloading stage of road soft foundation settlement prediction, and made a comparative analysis with the prediction results of several methods and measured settlement, came the conclusion that three point method,the hyperbolic method and grey the theoretical method of settlement prediction is applicable for inserting drainage stack preloading treatment of soft soil foundation.(4)Established the three-dimensional model of road soft foundation with the simplified method, used FLAC3D software for the numerical simulation analysis with settlement of the foundation, got the simulation curves of settlement and time of development. Compared with the result of numerical simulation and prediction of the settlement, measured settlement analysis, found the numerical simulation method can be very good in the process of road foundation settlement development law of analog loading construction.(5)For the process of pore water pressure dissipation in numerical simulation analysis with the plug drain preloading road soft soil, the results showed that, with the increase of height of fill, dissipation of pore water pressure in soft soil foundation is accelerated; more to the depth of the foundation, slower with pore pressure dissipation. Discharge of pore water, the consolidation of foundation soil was accelerating.(6)According to the simulation results, measured settlement data and settlement prediction results, combined with the process of the road soft foundation analysis, the result showed that the factors affecting the settlement of foundation including the consolidation coefficient, soil permeability, compressibility of soil layers and drainage board layout; in the process of construction, as the external load, ground settlement will increase the foundation settlement in the process of increasing soil, the high loading rate is not conducive to the stability of soft soil foundation, and the vertical drainage can accelerate the consolidation of soft soil foundation.
