Sogou Map Design And Research Of Mobile Terminal

As the second revolution of internet, the development of mobile internetunleashed a storm of the Web products’ transplantation. Relying on its inborn attributeof real-time positioning, electronic map was transplanted from Web to mobile phonenaturally. The whole designing process,which was aiming at maps on the mobileterminal, improved the user experience of those maps, and provided a fast and eficientway for map users to achieve their goals on the maps.The research topic of this thesis comes from the interaction project that authorparticipated at the User Experience Department of Sogou User Platform Divisionduring the internship. The project contains Sogou map for mobile version4.1and thedesign iterations of mobile version4.2. The map development mainly based iOSoperating system.Firstly, the thesis stated more details on the interface design of the version4.1mobile Sogou map. Then, the attention was put on the discussion of the usabilitytesting and the iteration process of the production.The thesis eventually summarizedthe difficult points and design reflection.At the beginning of the interface design,theproject group analysised and researched the competitive products from twoaspects:product position and the interface design; At the same time, basing on the userinterviews, we excavated the new requirements of the products and design points fromthe user study, then sort out all product function points to design function architecture.The project carry out a series of works including information architecture design, taskflow,page flow and interface prototype design on those basic. After the visual design,the process of the Sogou map app interface design is completed.The interface design of mobile Sogou map provides fine design resolvablesolution for the combination and interaction of the searched information with themap.It also provides users new interactive mode on map and excellent experience andget good user feedback.The interface design has certain reference significance forsimilar instrumental mobile applications.
