In the remote poor mountain areas of Yunnan province where the mainly minorities live, the process of new rural construction work is perplexed by which kind of Vernacular house development and renewal to choose. This paper is based on the basic green building theory and combined with the creative design of village and its Vernacular house of Xishuangbanna Keno Mountain international health tourism resort, in Yunnan. Besides, on the premise of a functionally convenient, cost-effective, beautiful and comfortable dwelling place, making use of local renewable energy sources, we conclude the designing strategy of green building technology for the village and Vernacular house of Keno Mountain. On the base of the researches above, combining the customs, the landscapes, the climate and the environment, we hope to improve the living conditions of the local people. Therefore, the paper discusses the designing strategy of green building technology for the village and Vernacular house of Keno Mountain from the two aspects of its Planning layout and architectural design. Then, we make the ecological analysis and quantitative design.By all hat, we can create a modern ecological Vernacular house which has its distinct advantages and is able to accommodate with the projects developed. By this way, it can be realized with green renewing of keno village and its Vernacular house, and keep abreast of the tourism development project. We hope that we can stand as a reference for the Vernacular house renewing of other similar projects, and make a positive exploration to the theoretical development and its practical operations.
