The boiler is an absolutely necessary significant power plant of industry productions process and the civilian sector. It is widely used in the chemical industry, generation of electrical energy, steel and heating areas. In order to ensure the production and security, the auto-control of it is very important. The drum water-level is an important variable to be controlled. The accident happened in boiler used, largely due to improper boiler water level control.It is hard to get the mathematic model of the boiler’s drum water-level with adjustive process. It is characteristic of nonlinearity, instability and time lag. So it makes higher demand for boiler’s drum water-level control system. The traditional control model of three-impulse in the drum water-level mostly use PID, the control effect can also be further enhanced.In this paper, Tianjin Steel140t/h in the middle temperature and middle pressure steam boiler control system as the research background. Mainly, the boiler drum water-level control system as the research object. According to the dynamic characteristics of the boiler drum water-level, the author has researched the using of the Fuzzy-PID control in the boiler drum water-level. This paper makes the following main work:Firstly, the impact of confounding factors boiler drum water-level, dynamic characteristics of the boiler drum water-level and the conventional control methods have been analyzed in this paper;Then, this paper analyzed and researched the boiler’s drum water-level PID control algorithm and fuzzy control algorithm;Finally, according to the actual requirements of the boiler’s drum water-level control, combined with the advantages of PID control algorithm and fuzzy control algorithm, the Fuzzy-PID controller of the boiler drum water-level control is designed, practical running results show that Fuzzy-PID control algorithm is better.
