Research On The Landscape Design Of Hanging Garden In High-rise Office Buildings

Modern office building is a widely used category in building industry. With the recent development of urbanization process, increasing demand for energy-saving and land-saving, as well as significant growth in the construction amount of high-rise office building, a lot of buildings with hanging garden have come into being. On one hand, the emerge of garden-style high-rise office building has enriched the methods of building design, of which environmental friendliness conforms to the time tidal; on the other hand, it will help increase the exchange and communication among people. Hence, hanging garden building has gained great momentum in China, but the development has not quite satisfactory.In this paper, based on the background mentioned above, it rendered hanging garden as the organic component of office building. It mainly adopted the method of generalization and summarization of the literatures and field research to perform systematic and comprehensive study. The main research results are as follows:(1) Based on the field research towards the hanging garden in typical high-rise office building in Changsha, it drew conclusion on the common problems found in the design of hanging garden in high-rise office buildings in Changsha. They are:unitary style of landscape design, low flexibility of space, poor applicability of hard landscape and outdoor furniture, less type of plant arrangement, lack of favorable microclimate as well as poor management maintenance in later.(2) Beginning with the planimetric position distribution and altitude distribution, it gave detailed analysis about the characteristics of the hanging gardens in high-rise office building and relevant elements and the demand features of those people working in the high-rise office building. Furthermore, according to different using people, it put forward four garden space design models featured by the form of open, cluster, enclosure and ejection.(3) Through the case study of the hanging garden of the Skyscraping No.1Mansion in Changsha, it performed analysis on the existing problems of it and finished a transformation design proposal to verify that the theoretical research in this paper is scientific and reasonable.Through researches mentioned above, it drew conclusion on the considerations of building hanging gardens in high-rise office buildings, with a purpose that it can provide certain theoretical reference for the peers when constructing the hanging gardens in high-rise office building.
