Research On The Confocal System Of Measuring Transparent Material And Its Data Processing Technology

In the trend that non-contact measurements are becoming mainstream technologies, this paper does the research of the technologies about measuring the transparent materials’ thickness that are based on confocal technology and proposes a reasonable set of data acquisition, data processing and software solution, which have improved measurement accuracy and efficiency, verified its feasibility.This paper does the research mainly from two aspects of confocal measurement system, including the study of the theory and software system design. The theory part introduces the theory of confocal measurement and the formulas of thickness calculation,and selects a set of relatively reasonable hardware devices according to the requirements, including light, stage, fiber, and spectrometer. Software system includes a data acquisition part, a data processing part and a computer software interface part on display. Comparing with the former software system, this paper proposes a new design, not only makes the formulas clearer and preciser, but makes the measurement real-time.
