Battery pack has been widely applied as a newly emerging energy sourcewith no pollution and high energy ratio. The working performance and state hasaffected the normal operation of applied devices directly. Traditional monitoringequipment cannot meet the requirement for quantity data processing and remotemonitoring as the number of applied battery pack over the whole industries.Internet of things, emerging as new generation information technology, hasbecome the research center around intelligent monitoring field on behalf ofcomprehensive perception, reliable transportation and intelligent processing.Therefore, internet of things can be applied in the system, which is of mostsignificance.The remote monitoring system, established with internet of things structure,has realized data remote transportation and intelligent process. Three basiccomponents are designed in the system including data acquisition,communication and monitoring platform. The design is generally achieved withhardware and software, where hardware is achieved with several modulesincluding control module, acquisition module, GPRS wireless communicationmodule and server moduleIn realizing software function, communication between GPRS and servermodule is achieved at first. SQL server and IIS Web server are established withaccess technologies like ADO.NET and ASP in order to achieve communicationbetween H-M interface and database server, which has achieved the generalfunction of remote monitoring system of battery based on internet of things.General performance testing of the designed system is included withdetailed error analysis of obtained data. The test results has showed that thedesigned monitor system can obtain accurate state data of the battery with steadywireless communication and the monitor platform established can achieve real- time monitoring and effective control of state and data of battery, which inadvance proved the feasibility and effectiveness of the designed remotemonitoring system for battery.
