With the development of modern electronic technology, it is difficult fortraditional MCU and ASIC to solve the problems of complex design, longdevelopment cycle and high cost of automotive electronics. This design uses thereconfigurable technology to improve the structure of the current automotiveelectronic system for achieving system function, reducing the complexity of thesystem, facilitating the design and maintenance, reducing the cycle of development,and saving the cost in the manufacture of automotive electronic devices, whichmakes the product has more competitive in the future market.The paper uses reconfigurable technology to design the automotive electronicsystem and achieve the function of a plurality of vehicle-mounted electronic devicesin the same FPGA by time division multiplexer. The functional design of eachvehicle-mounted electronic device is completed by high-performance FPGA and thehigh-speed and flexible configuration of internal logical function in FPGA isachieved by CPLD with higher clock frequency and slave parallel model. This designuses the ferroelectric memory which has a large capacity and a high speed to storemore logic functions and to improve the rate of configuration. The design selectsradio module to design FM radio mudule, utilizes infrared remote control to achievethe function of auto password lock and uses the principle of ultrasonic ranging tocomplete obstacle detection when the car is reversing. According to the actualsituation, the conversion of each device function is completed. The design completesthe development task of functional modules by using the ISE and uses the VHDLhardware description language to achieve the function of each module.The design, which has stronger practicality and broader applicability, can be notonly applied in automotive electronic systems with complex logic but also used inthe complex and multi-tasking system with less demand for real-time. Theautomotive electronic system based on reconfigurable technology will be a better choice for the design of future automotive electronics and will have broaderprospects for development of the future automotive electronics market.
