With the rapid development of economy in our country, the growing car ownershipratio makes parking a very serious problem. The traditional parking management system is difficult tomeet the growing demand of parking. The existing problems are mainly about:the wiring is complex, the communication protocol is not uniform; data detection can’t achieve remote monitoring, information can’t achieve real-time sharing;owners need to find free parking by themselves, which waste a lot of time; what’s more, there have no navigation system in parking, which makes owners can’t order the parking space remotely.For the problem of blindness when looking for a parking space in indoor parking lot, embedded wireless gateway is designed based on Zigbee and WIFI technology, andclient based on the Android mobile phone.The processor uses the ARM11S3C6410, it will query detector on each parking space with polling mode at first and save the current parking information in the embedded database, while the information is released out by using TCP/IP, allowing the Host computer or mobile client can monitor or get parking information. When theparking state changes, sensor nodes will upload data actively. The Boa server is transplanted in the gateway, thenbrowser can be used to remotely configure network. The owners can use the Android mobile phone client to search for free parking lot, and make an appointment, so that owners can find empty parking spaces in the parking lot. The owners can also find parking and parking spaces conveniently according to the client’s instructions. The client can realize the function of automatic charging.This paper firstly introduces the background and significance of the subject, and then introduces the hardware and software design scheme of embedded wireless gateway in a detailed way, and lastly introduces the design scheme of Android mobile phone client. In the hardware design part,it presents the schematic diagram of hardware of the gateway, in the software design part, it presents the software structure of the gateway and the client, the principles and procedures of the software implementation, and the code of main part.Combined with the actual tests of underground parking in our unit, it demonstrated that the system introduced in this paper could achieve the purpose of finding parking lot conveniently and operate steadily, which has a certain value in parking area.
