In statics, the textbook "Engineering Mechanics-Statics"(3rd Edition) by the American professor R.C.Hibbeler, is one of America’s most popular mechanical engineering textbook series. Then Ferdina P.Beer in U.S. wrote "project vector mechanics (statics)"(3rd edition), which makes a great progress and is characterized by highlighting the intuitive of static mechanics problems solving with the application of vector methods. This book was identified as the outstanding textbook by the Committee of China which authorizes excellent foreign teaching materials.Along with the process of the development above, this paper presents graphic methods of solve statics problems directly, making the solving processes more intuitive. With the application of the integration of shape, number, computer methods of solving static mechanics, the abstract thinking and imagery thinking are unified, on the other hand, as we take CAD as a solving tool, the precision of graphic solving methods is high enough for engineering cases. Traditional solutions of statics problems include the analytical method and the graphic method, the graphical method is more intuitive and more convenient for checking.This research makes these two methods check and supply with each other, and the development of the graphic statics platform based on CAD is a new exploration to improve the quality and speed of engineering designs.In this paper, the theoretical bases of graphic statics is researched, and three graphical methods for common statics problems are presented, such as multi-faceted orthographic method, cable polygon method and isometric projection method.These methods can be applied flexibly in different conditions, and achieve integrated problem solving for statics Combined graphic statics methods with AutoCAD embedded language AutoLISP and VB language, the engineering statics instances platform which has user-friendly interfaces is developed, to achieve the efficiency and accuracy of graphic statics processes.
