Research On The Development And Plan And Design Of Educational Farm

The educational farm is a new type of the agricultural park developed to a certain period. It’s the product to adapt to the needs of society and the inevitable product of the agricultural park’s perfection of function and type. It mainly targets young students, providing agricultural knowledge, experience and understanding of agricultural and rural culture, and is the most effective agriculture and natural ecological teaching outdoor classroom.Based on the literature study, planning and designning of the educational farm is not much in China. The research is mainly on the educational farm’s development thinking and project settings, as well as the introduction of the foreign educational farm. Recently the theme of "educational farm" which separates from Agricultural Park form in Chinese mainland has not yet appeared, and it has not specifical garden that puts science education, agriculture awareness, leisure and entertainment as the main function which are special for the young groups. In short, the the educational farm’s theoretical research and planning and designning are at an early stage, pending further research and discussion.On the basis of the analysis of research educational farm development status, trends, problems and successful experience from home and abroad, the educational farm’s concept, function, and the uniqueness of the landscape have been elaborated. And Taiwan region’s four classic cases, and two cases in Continent have been conducted in-depth analysis and comparison, showing that they have certain of its geographic and market advantages, clear themes, project settings and landscape design whith emphasize the ecological education. On this basis, this paper builds the planning and designning mode of the educational farm, including the aspects of the service objects, setting mood, setting conditions and elements, planning and designning objectives, principles, ideas, philosophy, theme planning, functional and project settings, landscape creating and so on.This paper takes educational farm by design projects-Anhui Yun Tai new rural complex planning and designning as an example. From the project’s overview and conditions, this paper summarizes the planning and designning principles and the basis for the concept. And it divides the park into five functional areas of local moral teaching area, rural recreation area, flower arts experience area, farming operations experience area, orchard tourism and leisure area, beautiful grounds adventure area, and carries out detailed planning and designning of road transportation, water drainage, services and facilities, tour route, green plants, landscape architecture, special education and science, in particular. These support the planning and designning model presented. It provides a reference for the development and planning of the future educational farm, and promotes the development of the educational farm.
