Modern crane enterprises have to face the challenges of design cycle, design cost andclient demands under the premise of product quality to meet the product quality, bridgecrane trolley frame have a high constant structural style and mainly composed of weldedsteel, structure design of parts have certain rules, parametric finite element analysis methodapplied to structure design of bridge crane trolley frame, it can not only realize rapid designof bridge crane trolley frame but also verify the strength and stiffness of structural throughfinite element analysis and achieve the goal of shortening product development cycle.In the paper,160t overhead crane trolley frame is taken as study object, Visual Basic6.0is taken as development language, SolidWorks2011is taken as three-dimensionalparametric design platform, ANSYS12.0is taken as finite element analysis platform,method of establishing parametric finite element model and finite element analysis methodare taken as specific methods, parametric finite element techniques applied to structuredesign of bridge crane trolley frame is studied, including driving geometric characteristicmodel, making finite element analysis characteristic model and mechanical analysis oftrolley frame, and developed the parametric finite element analysis system of bridge cranetrolley frame on this basis. The main contents are as follows:(1)Parametric design method and finite element method often used in product designare studied, and on this basis parametric finite element theory and method is also studied.(2)Geometric characteristic model of trolley frame parts are described how to buildand drive based on theories and methods of establishing finite element model, steps of transforming geometric characteristic model into finite element model are studied, andtechniques of parametric finite element model are optimized.(3)Finite element analysis characteristic model of trolley frame is described how tobuild based on APDL, trolley frame and its typical components are analyzed on strengthand static stiffness, one of analysis methods is traditional numerical theory and method,another is APDL procedures written, static analysis process of trolley frame is realizedautomatically by APDL procedures.(4)Parametric design and finite element analysis of trolley frame is realized throughoperational processes of parameter setting, design calculation, geometric characteristicmodel driving and finite element analysis, the level and efficiency of trolley framedesigning is improved.
