Wire rope, as an essential part of hoisting system, has many advantages such as lightweight, high strength, high carrying capacity and so forth, because of which it is widely usedin the primary fields of economy including the petroleum, transportation andport-transportation. The theoretical analysis of wire rope is complex, especially, in somespecific transmission system, research on both theory and simulation is inadequate. Therefore,it has scientific value and engineering significance in theoretical analysis, dynamicssimulation and experimental study.First, this paper establishes the mathematical model, talks about the mechanicalproperties and then presents the definition of static tension force, breaking force and securitycoefficient. Then this paper establishes the dynamic model and analyzes dynamic tensionforce of the node which is under tension stress and provides the theoretical basis for thecontinued analysis simulation.Based on the theoretical model and analysis, this paper establishes the dynamic model ofa certain hoisting system by using the muti-body dynamic model in RecurDyn; then this papersimulates and analyzes the stress-strain of the node in the process of hoisting, in order toverify the results of simulation, this paper designs an experiment about the strain detection ofwire rope. The results of the experiment show there are some nodes which are easily fatiguefailure in the hoisting system. For this reason, this paper uses the belt module in the RecurDyn,analyzes and obtains the velocity variations of object during the process of hoisting and thedynamic tension force in different positions. By comparing the analysis results of the twomodels, this paper finds out there exists the same easily fatigue failure nodes. Finally, thispaper analyzes the parameter setting method of present nondestructive flaw detection device,designs a detection experiment, analyzes the parameter setting and detects the real wire rope.The results in the flaw detection show that the fracture of wire rope rolling in the coilingblock is serious, which corresponds to the results in the simulation.The research results in the paper is beneficial to the future study in the dynamicsimulation of hoisting system process of wire rope. Meanwhile, they provide good theory andexperimental guidances for the nondestructive flaw detection device, offer reference for thedesign,manufacture and application in project of crane and harbor handling, which isbeneficial to improve the security of the special equipment.
