| With the development of social economy, the quickening of the urban construction speed, the improvement of people’s living level, people pay more attention to the quality of life and living environment. The landscape is becoming more and more important in city construction. The landscaping industry has made vigorous development in recent years, and the number of landscaping company is increasing with high speed. So the market competition is very fierce. If the landscape enterprises want to earn a place in fierce market competition, they must be based on security to meet the contract period and construction quality. The companies control the actual project cost within the program objectives range of book cost through the planning, organization, control and coordination of activities. This will encourage enterprises to optimize the resources, as far as possible, reduce project material input, and pursue the maximization of the benefit of the project, obtain the best economic benefits and social benefits.In this paper, we describe the concept, methods, and common problems of project cost management according to relevant data and literature of landscape engineering. The research takes Wuhou "198" greening project as an example. Firstly, I conducted field investigation and research on engineering project for understanding the construction situation and characteristics of the project. It lists current situation of cost management in the bidding stage, construction stage, settlement stage and later maintenance stage. Including overruns of on-site overhead cost, increasing costs for overtime and replant seedlings, remaining settlement workload and so on.And then applying the theory of management cost and the actual work experience to deeply analyze the internal and external causes, including lacking of cost management consciousness, unsuitable soil for plantation, fluctuation of nursery stock market price, political factors, weak safety precautions and so on.Finally, the research puts forward a series of feasible solutions, including preparing the project construction budget carefully in bidding phase, downsizing programs, fully mobilizing the enthusiasm of the staff work, reducing the hidden costs, strengthening the cultivation technology and material cost management, increasing the survival rate of seedlings, improving the system of safety management, reducing safety loophole, arranging the construction procedures and schedule reasonably, using appropriate compensation, strengthening the construction of professional skills training and hardware facilities, putting mechanization into practice and so on.Through the research results from this paper, the practical problem encountered in project cost management is effectively solved, leaders pay more attention to the project cost management, This will improve the project economic benefits. I hope it could provide certain reference value for similar project cost management. |
