Urban motorization’s acceleration causes a serious of problems such as traffic congestion, environmental pollution and other issues. Meanwhile developing a multi-mode and multilayered comprehensive public transport system can be an effective method to ease urban transport problems and optimize urban transport system. Urban developing corridors are "core zones" which can promote cities development. A variety of elements were brought together in corridor areas. Developing comprehensive public transport system in corridor areas is favourable for the whole cities’economic development.This paper clearly identified the meaning of corridors and divided different levels of corridors, which are based on the summarization of relevant domestic and international researches about corridors for now. Based on comprehensive public transport system composition, analyzed the substance of the comprehensive public transport system configuration. This paper also set up the research method for urban comprehensive public transport corridor system, it selected corridor’s identify method and established the urban comprehensive public transport corridor system’s coverage research method. Summarized the constraint condition for comprehensive public transport routes planning, analyzed the road condition requirements of different public transport mode routes, and recommended the setting methods and thoughts of different public transport mode stops.After determined urban comprehensive transport corridor’s skeleton road, structure urban comprehensive transport corridor passenger flow distribution model. The model considered the differences between large-capacity public transport and routine bus, mainly considered the difference on travel impedance. Routine bus’s operation condition was influenced by road vehicle flow, its travel impedance could use the BPR function to describe. But large-capacity public transport’s travel impedance has no linking to road vehicle flow, because it’s routes have its own way to run. Set optimal goal function by considering both travelers’travel cost and system investor’s investment cost. On the basis of the data obtained from the model solving, discuss the configuration content and method of the paths or route sections of large-capacity public transport and routine bus.Set example to solve the model. As the example is simple, solve the problem by manual analysis and Excel programming solver function. The calculation result of the example shows the model’s feasibility.
