Research On Intercity Passenger Transport Corridor Planning And Configuration Of Urban Agglomeration

Urban agglomeration is city system formed in the course of urbanization. It is the inevitable result of regional spatial organization, and becomes the core competitiveness of participation in international competition. The development of urban agglomeration needs the support of transportation; and planning and construction of transportation infrastructure can optimize the industrial structure, enhance regional advantages, and promote the integrated development of urban agglomeration. In urban agglomeration, economic interaction between cities is frequent, which promotes the generation and increase of intercity transport demand. As the backbone of intercity passenger transport system, intercity corridor bears the main passenger demand and leads to reasonable evolution of urban agglomeration space. Therefore, rational planning of intercity passenger transport corridor is significant for the development of urban agglomeration under the guidance of transport demand.Intercity passenger corridor planning should not only clarify the mode of transport, but also distribute the lines of various modes of transport rationally, so it involves the determination of the scale, structure design, plan optimization and other aspects, and a scientific planning approach is necessary to study the scale, structure and distribution systematically. While, the spatial structure of urban agglomeration is complex and intercity passenger corridor planning exhibits different characteristics, so the development degree and development trend of urban agglomeration must be fully considered. Therefore, on the basis of existing theory and methods of corridor planning, further study on planning and configuration of intercity passenger transportation corridor in urban agglomeration has important theoretical value and practical significance.The paper will study related issues of intercity passenger transportation corridor planning in urban agglomeration systematically. Starting from the basic theory of urban agglomeration, clear the classification characteristics of urban agglomeration and traffic demand characteristics, and then analyze the influence of social and economic development on the corridor. Secondly, define the constituent elements, formation mechanism, distribution characteristics of passenger transportation corridor in different urban agglomerations; analyze the variation of intercity transport demand and determine the supply structure of passenger transportation corridor according to the hierarchy of transport needs. Further, analyze the dynamic technical and economic characteristics of various transportation modes and the travel intention of passengers, and then allocate the transport modes considering the optimization objectives of transportation corridor and differences of various transportation modes. Further, construct the physical structure of corridor under the constraints of funds and environment, and focus on the layout method of intercity railway corridor to determine spatial layout plan. Finally, take Chengdu and Chongqing urban agglomeration as an example to make empirical analysis, which is to study the space layout scheme of intercity railway corridor based on distribution characteristics and spatial planning of urban agglomeration to verify the suitability of the planning methods. This study will further improve corridor planning theory, and provide guidance for the intercity passenger corridor planning of emerging urban agglomeration.
