Urban sewer system is an important part of city infrastructure, and the safeguard engineering of people’s life and property in the storm. In recent years, with the rapid growth of urban population in China, the increase of global specific climate, the increase frequency of the super design return period rainstorm, coupled with the design standard of urban sewer system in our country is low, almost all the city in China appear different degrees of waterlogging phenomenon. Waterlogging phenomenon make the city traffic jams, and even cause large staff casualties and economic loss. The widespread occurrence of waterlogging phenomenon illustrate the urban sewer system in the sub healthy condition for a long time, and do not play its due performance, we must do the reconstruction to restore the system health.In this study, first analyzes the development characteristics of city rain and rain drainage system, and then analyzes the operation principle of SWMM model, SWMM model combined with a rain drainage system is established based on actual case area model, dynamic numerical simulation and multiple conditions on the rain drainage system, according to the numerical model calculation and analysis of the results summarized, put forward the index and evaluation of health degree evaluation method of the rain drainage system. According to the health assessment index proposed in theory to guide the design, performance design and existing network system expansion.
