With the rapid growth of international maritime transport volume, the number of existing ports and docks has far unable to meet the needs of contemporary maritime amount. For this reason, a large number of new ports and docks are constantly built. Before the building of new ports and docks, ship simulation tests considering the impact of local wind and flow and other environment, should be done to provide some important information to ensure the safety of ship. Thus, according to the Dock design AUTOCAD data obtain the standard S-57chart data, on the one hand of great significance to the docks building, it also provides a more convenient way to get the charts used for the ship simulation tests. This thesis complete the following contents:(1)Analysis on AUTOCAD data and S-57standard data;In reality,AUTOCAD software is often used to draw the graphics and obtain related data, while S-57standard is the international standard electronic chart data. Before the analysis of the differences and conversion between these two kinds of data, in-depth analysis on data coding and format is needed.(2)Analysis of the differences between the data and make an initial conversion method; After the in-depth analysis of data coding and format, find out the differences between these two kinds of data. According to these differences, analysis how to convert AUTOCAD data to S-57standard data and make an initial conversion method.(3)Test the feasibility by the actual operation;Choose one dock design AUTOCAD data and convert the important data which are often use in ship simulation test, like coastline and channel line. Finally, find a convenient method for the completely converting from AUTOCAD data to S-57standard data.
