Accompanying with the advance of economy globalization and concentration of regional economy, the economic trade between each regions becomes a important part of national economy. As its large capacity, low cost and strong adaptability, shipping becomes one of the most important modes of transport for world trade. Since the1950s, with its standardization, safety, ease of operation, container transportation quickly became one of the most important transportation mode of global shipping network system. In addition, Container liner transportation with fixed vessel, fixed shipping rotation, fixed call ports, fixed the berthing window and a fixed rate, could fully depict the evolution process of shipping network.Container shipping network reflect the internal relations of the container shipping system as an inherent regularity. It constitutes a complicated system, taking ports as the node and container shipping company’s operation route as a link between nodes and nodes. The formation and evolution of the container shipping network reflects interaction of all factors internal and external the container shipping system. This paper took world top10container liner shipping corporations and100ports as the studying objects, defined abstractly shipping system as a network composed of ports and routes. The container shipping network was demonstrated to have character of scale free and small worlds, with the statistics and analysis on the structural features of the shipping network. According to the evolution dynamic mechanism, the characteristics of size limit and dynamic development of container shipping network in reality have been fully considered. Furthermore, five mechanisms which named node step, node deletion, preferential attachment, anti-preferential deletion and rewiring are proposed. Since the adaptability indexes for port hinterland economy, port throughput and port location are designed to measure the fitness of port node, a fitness BA model is put forward. Then, the degree distribution is calculated by theoretical derivation and the effectiveness of the proposed model is verified by numerical simulation.
