The development of automatic transmission has a great impact on the automotiveindustry, it improve the efficiency of mechanical transmission, thus the fuel economy andriding comfort has a comparative improvement. It become the main factor to consider andchoose automobile. Multi-disc wet clutch has been widely used to the automatictransmission for its great performance, thus we do a lot research on multi-disc wet clutch,which can contribute to the development of automatic, it has a great significance to broadenthe range of application to the multi-disc wet clutch.In this paper, the main research work of multi-disc wet clutch is based on heavyvehicle. Because of the huge torque transferred by wet clutch, thus much friction power canbe produced. The friction power is the main fact to invalidate the friction plate, so thecooling system have been installed to the clutch assembly. The cooling system make theworking temperature return to normal by cooling the hydraulic oil. In this paper, we aim atthe simulation research of temperature characteristic on the cooling system of multi-discwet clutch. The main research content is that the changes when the hydraulic oil, in themulti-disc wet clutch, flow through the cooling system, then we get the temperaturevariation regularity. Using the simulation software for modeling and analysis is the key ofthis paper.This paper studies the main content as follow:1. After we analysis the research status of multi-disc wet clutch at home and abroad,flow characteristic of cooling system on multi-disc wet clutch need to be calculated,different kinds of cooling system influenced on characteristic of wet clutch will beanalysis;2. Building the cooling system model by using the simulation software, AMESim, toanalyze the cooling characteristic of cooling system. Building the model of multi-disc wet clutch assembly based on experiment rig to simulate the temperature characteristic changesof cooling system while the vehicle work.3. Getting the simulation result of the model built in the third part, by analyzing theresult, we can get the cooling characteristic of cooling system and the temperaturecharacteristic changes of cooling system while the vehicle work. We need to optimize thestructure parameter of cooling system to get more accurate structure parameter.4. Making the experiment plan, including experiment scheme of cooling systemperformance and the changes of hydraulic oil temperature while the clutch assembly work.The whole paper has a referential significance to wet clutch research, the temperaturecharacteristics of the cooling system research and optimization.
