Urban heating system is the important infrastructure of the urban economic and social development. It is also the basic policy of our country’s city construction. In the past, our country adopts the method of district heating and concentrated charge in the heating system. This method of heating supplying management is relatively simple and can be easily realized. Therefore, the heating resources can be organically integrated and made full use. Optimizing heating supplying pipe-network can improves people’s life and reduces heating cost, which is very significant to our country energy conservation. Along with the development of economy and the exaltation of residents’ consumption level, people gradually strengthen ego protective consciousness. The traditional management philosophy of heating supply has been unable to adapt to the requirements of society. In order to meet the requirement of the socialist construction of economical society, but also to meet the needs of people for new heating charging scheme, the government issued new measures for the management of heating charge. The new measures require the heating companies to adopt the method of district heating and household metering charge. In order to realize the new heating charging method, the new household heat meter control devices of centralized heating supply is necessary.The article designs the new household heat meter control devices, with the embedded system as the core. These devices include the heating valve meter control device and the infrared hand-held configuration terminal. These devices provide three kinds of control method, including local control, infrared communication control and wireless control. Through these devices, the heating company can control the heating system effectively and conveniently.Firstly, this paper introduces the design process of the heating valve meter control device. The design of the hardware circuit has six parts:the minimal system, the power module, the infrared transmission module, the serial communication circuit, the button control and indicator light module, the motion control module. The design of the software includes valve on-off switching button control, the measurement of the valve opening time, the storage of the valve status, brown-out protection and reduction, the design of the data communication. The system reliability design includes data communication, software system, data storage and long service life of reliability design.Secondly, this paper introduces the design process of the infrared hand-held configuration terminal. The design of the hardware circuit includes the minimal system, the power module, the infrared transmission module, the TFT-LCD module, the button control module and the indicating alarm module. The design of the software includes the data configuration and communication, the on-off switching control of the valve, the Character design and Subtitles display, the design of Page. The system reliability design includes data communication and hardware system of reliability design.Lastly, this paper introduces the design process of the data communication protocols and the upper monitoring interface. The data protocols includes the composition of the data packet, the data format, the unit format, the communication commands content and format.The design of the household heat meter control devices in this article will provide the new method for monitoring and management. These devices have the advantage of own design, maximum use of the chip and low cost. They are so practical for large-scale uses. These devices have a broad market prospect.
