In recent years, the rapid railway development of China has made significant achievements, especially in the area of high-speed railway construction. The researches show that China’s total electrified railway mileage has been more than51,000km in the last fifty years, and has been to the world’s first nations in the total electrified railway mileage after surpassing Russia.The power supply panel provides a stable and reliable signal power supply to the running trains on the railway, and is very important to protect the safe operation of electrified railway and, therefore, the intelligent power supply panel comes into being, which to provide a supply guarantee to a stable and reliable power for the railway.The power module is the core of intelligent power supply panel, and the realiable opration of each power module is the foundation of the intelligent power supply panel. Ministry of Railways requires that saved standby power modules need to be detected once every six months, and should be checked when they need to be replaced. This garantee the power supply module can be used when in need. Thus, we design a simple and quick test platform that can check the power modules in this thesis.Our main work is to design the software and hardware of the manege subsystem for the test platform by using the embedded technology. The main part of hardware is Samsung S5PV210processor, which is RISC-based CPU using Cortex-A8core, and the stable and convenient operating system designed for embedded system, Windows CE6.0, was used. We design a set of test protocol for the implemented system which is compatable with the industrial control protocol, MODBUS, and use RS-485and Ethernet as the communication protocol. The designed test platform can be used to perfom automatic module test with or without load, and all the modules from different manufacturers that authorized by the Ministry of Railways can be tested on the test platform.Test results on the designed syetem show that the system works stably, and can monitor the status of the power modules and find all of the errors. The designed test platform meets the design requirements, and can be broadly used in the rarlway markets.
