As key nodes of smart grid, one of smart substation’s functions is to provide reliable data and information for power system operation and control. Method of getting information and range of information in smart substation change substantially compared with traditional substation. In smart substation, data for advanced applications all comes from the integrated monitoring and control platform. Quantity of state and analogue data of primary equipments in substation, processing and operation information of equipments in bay layer and process layer and so on information can be got from network within the smart substation. With the help of information sharing mechanism, message exchanges between substation and dispatching and control center or the other substations becomes easier and thus fulfill an integral application in system level. This also means it is imperative to develop data plausibility check function due to the requirements of improving data quality. Plausibility check of data in substation has great importance in ensuring safe and stable operation of smart substation.Data plausibility check uses high-redundant and high real-time measurement data to accomplish data identifying, analyzing and estimation, thus to form consistent and unique basic data and provide accurate and reliable information resources to user inside or outside the substation. Data plausibility check can also improve the reliability and accuracy of state estimation in dispatching center. So data plausibility check has become a hot topic in recent years.First of all, this thesis gives a introduction of development status of substation’s monitoring and control system. Based on analysis of the deficiency of traditional substation’s monitoring and control system, discuss the systematic structure, network framework, function and advanced application of smart substation’s integrated monitoring and control system. Then analyze requirements of data plausibility check and supports provided by the smart substation. As for the requirements of data plausibility check software, this thesis proposes several principles of data plausibility check, such as associated data plausibility check theory based on measurement reckon principle and characteristic of current, voltage or power, data plausibility check theory based on the characteristic of quantity of state and analogue data and so on. Then give basic idea of designing and process of corresponding software module function, hierarchy design the data plausibility check software and use object-oriented programming to develop each module.Finally, this thesis gives simple system testing and example analysis to the data plausibility check function of smart substation’s integrated monitoring and control system. Through the system testing and example analysis, accuracy and speed of data plausibility check function conform to the function requirements of smart substation.
