Polyethylene (PE) pipes due to its good performance, simple construction techniques,etc., in the gas pipeline construction occupies a very important position, and in other publicworks has been widely used. PE pipe welding is the primary means of pipe connections,welded joints quality directly affect the quality and life of the pipeline.In this paper, many years in the PE pipe welding gas engineering construction site ofpractical work, from the PE pipe welding works, welding technology, welding technology andequipment three aspects introduced PE pipe welding technology in gas engineering.Combined with polyethylene (PE) gas pipeline project welding quality assurance measuresand management systems work practice requirements, analysis of polyethylene pipe weldingquality control, combined with things based information technology development,implementation and carry out gas engineering polyethylene pipeline welding construction ofremote real-time monitoring system, explore for gas engineering polyethylene pipe automaticwelding of information technology application status.
