Study On Canine Estrus Induction And AI Technology Of Dogs

Local dogs with anestrus in Shengyang area, Liaoning province were selected, in order to investigate the effect of different hormone combinations on oestrus induction, pregnancy rate and litter size. The main aspects of semen collection and deposition, artificial insemination were also studied, to explore appropriate hormone combinations for artificial insemination in dogs. The results were as following:1:in order to investigate the effect of different hormone combinations on oestrus induction, pregnancy rate and litter size,110anestrus dogs were divided into five groups.The control group without any injection and the four experiment groups (Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ) were injected with PMSG, PMSG+HCG, PMSG+LRH-3, PMSG+PGF2a+E2+LRH-3, respectively. The results showed that:in estrus performance, the effect of the test group IV is the best combination, in terms of the degree of swelling of the vulva, bloody discharge and vaginal epithelial keratosis degree showed highly reactive; Compared with the group Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ, the mating rate of the test IV improved by32%,28%and20%, respectively, and reached a significant level (P<0.01);compared with the group Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ, the highest conception rate is group Ⅳ (76%) increased35%,20.4%and10%, respectively (P<0.01); The litter size of group Ⅳ was130, respectively, compared with the group Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ92,74and45, the difference was significant (P<0.01), the control group obtained the lowest rate of estrus, only10%. Four hormone drugs (PMSG+PGF2a+E2+LRH-3) are the best combination for the oestrus induction, pregnancy rate and litter size in female dogs.2:The aim of this experiment is generate appropriate methods for semen collection. Massage semen collection method, the fake vagina semen law and electrical stimulation of semen collection method were treated on five male dogs, with each20min. The results showed that:, the success rate of massage method is up to56%, which increased82%,95%compared with the false vagina (10%) and electrical stimulation (3%) respectively, and these differences are in a significant level (P<0.01). Moreover, the stress response of massage method nearly has no stress response to dogs, and fake vagina method and electrical stimulation stress strongly, especially electrical stimulation, dogs exhibit strong column of the stress response. The massage method collected2.05ml semen, which was significantly higher than false the vaginal law (1.71ml) and electrical stimulation (1.45ml), the difference was significant (P<0.05), respectively, Massage method for semen collection is the best approach for canine artificial insemination.Experiment3:In order to consider the impact of the different insemination methods on bitches conception rate and litter size,80healthy estrus bitches were selected. The results showed that:Type Ⅱ Insemination gun (gun putter length30mm) group conception Bitches15, than Ⅰ Insemination gun (gun putter length25mm) and type Ⅲ insemination gun (gun putter length36mm) conceive5and3, conception rate, respectively (P<0.05), while the sheep insemination gun used in dogs, only5%of the lowest conception rate.20natural mating bitches were selected, which is increased compared to the fresh semen group and frozen semen group2and5;8%and20%higher conception rate group than fresh semen group and frozen semen group; production litters than fresh semen groups and semen group were prolific10and23, the difference was significant (P<0.05); but the average litter size differences among the groups was not significant (P>0.05). This study concluded that the type of the semen had no significant effect on canine litter size, however, the insemination is the best when insemination gun putter length30mm.
