Since twenty century, global average temperature have risen by0.6because of human activity on the earth’s excessive interference, and with the CO2concentration multiplication, the global temperature is likely to rise2-5℃by2100. Meanwhile, the extreme weather phenomenon (such as the summer high temperature) appear more frequent and longer duration in many areas. This leads to frequent meteorological disasters around the world and the effects of meteorological disaster on crop production increasing. Meteorological disasters present characteristics of region, no balance, universality, sustainability, alternating and stage. In recent years, the occurrence of meteorological disasters presents the rising trend in our country, particularly for rice production of sensitive to high temperature and low temperature disasters. This causes a serious threat to food security in China. Crop combination of meteorological disaster is a kind disaster mode of a big difference and serious consequences. This is danger for crop production. Meanwhile we know a little on combination of meteorological disaster.A rare sterility hazard, a typical damage from abnormal temperature happened to mid-season rice at anthesis in Jianghan Plain, Hubei, China in august2007. But it is to determine the exact cause for the hazard. This study conducted a wide range and the varieties of comprehensive survey for sterility hazard in Jianghan Plain. We combined with sowing test of perennial fixed-point in Yangtze university experimental farm of Jingzhou, Hubei. We analyzed the reasons of effect on seed setting rate of mid-season rice in combination of meteorological disasters of abnormal high temperature and low temperature in2007. This provides enlightenment for the corresponding countermeasures. The result showed that during20, July to25, July, some districts of the area undergone a shape decrease of temperature, the daily mean temperature was lower than20℃exactly, surpassed the chilling damaging point for ear-formation. Meanwhile, from6August to10August, the time when rice was flowering, a continuous temperature lift happened, namely more than30℃in daily mean temperature or35℃in daily maximum temperature days experienced. In addition, the varieties flowered at6-13August should have undergone their meiosis stage of pollen mother cells in several days after24July. In matching the different area with different injuries against their meteorological regimes, we concluded with a category of the area with sterility hazard: some are caused mostly by the cold weather; some are mostly by the high temperature weather; and some by an overlapped bad weather, namely cold weather at first at meiosis, then heat at anthesis.
