The influence of diseases on antioxidants and electrolytes in buffaloes’plasma and whey and the correlation of these indicators between them were studied. This is to evaluate the feasibility of using whey instead of plasma to measure the concentrations of these indicators. Meanwhile, discuss the effect of different somatic cell account on antioxidant abilities, milk quality and milk yield.Experiment one:Study of buffalo antioxidant ability and electrolyte.30healthy buffaloes were selected from a buffalo farm in Nanning, Guangxi province. All of them have a similar age and milk yield from last lactation. Animals were divided into2groups by SCC, normal SCC and HSCC group. According to buffalo’s health status, they were divided into healthy and disease group. This study is to explore the correlation of TAC、MDA、K+、Na+、Cl-、Ca2+between buffaloes’plasma and whey. Results showed:the concentration of TAC was lower both in HSCC and disease buffalo group’s plasma and whey than healthy ones’. It has a significant difference in whey (P<0.05). What’s more, the concentration of MDA in plasma and whey was both higher than in healthy buffaloes’, but there is no significant difference between them (P>0.05). The contents of electrolytes in plasma and whey had no significant difference both in the two groups of animals; The contents of TAC and MDA had a significant positive correlation between plasma and whey (r=0.20, P<0.05; r=0.20, P<0.05); Moreover, the contents of K+had a significant positive correlation between plasma and whey (r=0.32, P<0.01). Also there was a significant positive correlation of Na+between plasma and whey (r=0.18, P<0.05). Conclusion:buffaloes with high SCC、RFM and UP, their total antioxidant capacity decline and Lipid peroxide levels rise. TAC and MDA level had a significant positive relationship between buffalo plasma and whey.Experiment two:Relationship between buffalo SCC and antioxidant status、milk quality.25healthy buffaloes were selected from a buffalo farm in Nanning, Guangxi province. Collect milk samples in regular method, once a week and lasting7weeks, all samples were divided into4groups according to SCC result. The concentration of SCC、TAC、MDA、 proportion、protein、fat、total solid、nonfat solid and lactose were measured in buffaloes’milk and daily milk yield was also recorded. The correlation analysis was carried out. Results showed:SCC of milk samples which is less than500000/mL occupied87.9%in total. SCC is more than1000000/mL occupied2.1%; The concentration of TAC and MDA in milk along with the increasing SCC had a trend of decrease and rise respectively; The daily milk yield had a decrease trend with increasing SCC; The proportion of milk、 protein lactose and nonfat solid decreased with the increasing SCC, but milk fat had an opposite trend; There was a significant negative correlation between SCC and lactose、nonfat solid (P<0.01). Conclusion: SCC in milk had a certain influence against antioxidants indexes, and the higher SCC is the lower milk yield is; Milk SCC significantly associated with some milk composition.
